The mulch tray fits over the top of your plant pot and is ideal for hand watered and dripper fed plants. It is designed to help reduce water loss though evaporation. By using the mulch tray you will find that you will need to water less.
Retaining the moisture in the pot will help roots to develop evenly throughout the soil as there are no dry patches or drying near the surface.
As a cover, it will prevent light reaching the soil and will prevent algea and weed growth. It will also help to protect against harsh weather conditions.
