Typically a grower will cut holes in the upper surface of the wrapper and place rooted young plants in Cultiwool cubes on top of the slab for onward development. The slabs have an effective air-to-water ratio and a reliable homogeneity with great strength and dimensional stability for excellent (re)saturation and controllability which ensure uniform rooting.
